Case: CIC’s Strategic Consulting Service

  • Our client (the “Company”) is a publicly listed apparel company based in China;
  • The Company wanted to conduct a strategic consulting project to develop and analyze new business opportunities and growth strategies in order to capture current macro and industry trends;
  • China Insights Consultancy advised the Company by providing concrete data and information on relevant markets and products, identifying potential opportunity, and forming a strategy to realize the Company’s vision.
  • CIC organized several internal workshops, gathered information on business structure, company strength, and operational model. Based on these understanding, CIC further consolidated external industry development trends and the management’s vision, recommended three potential growth strategies;
  • The new growth strategies are: building a “smart” supply chain platform, O2O multi-brand fashion platform, and internet big data cloud center;
  • CIC performed detailed and in-depth evaluation of these business opportunities from three angles: necessity, feasibility and profitability;
  • CIC presented these business opportunities to the Board and finalized the strategy with feedback from the Board members.
  • CIC analyzed the Company’s current business structure, industry trends and opportunities and potential synergy between its traditional business and new opportunities;
  • CIC identified market leaders and performed benchmarking analysis and analog studies of successful cases;
  • CIC proposed a comprehensive development strategy plan and feasibility study to the Company’s Board.
